From 31 March 2011, Czech low-cost airline SmartWings (QS) is starting a twice-weekly Boeing 737-500 between its base at Prague (PRG) and Nantes (NTE), on the French Atlantic coast at the mouth of the Loire River.

The route is likely aimed at stimulating tourism and traffic between the two cities, and as the route faces no direct competition.
