From 28 March 2011, Ryanair (FR) will start flying twice a week between Liverpool (LPL) in northwest England, and Toulon (TLN), a city on the Mediterranean between Marseillle and Nice.

This route will be operated by 189-seater Boeing 737-800 aircraft and is Ryanair's second route to the airport after London Stansted (STN). It caters to tourists from the Northwest heading to southern France. It faces no competition, direct or otherwise.
