Air Arabia Maroc MPL-FEZ

   A few weeks back, Air Arabia Maroc (3O) announced a change to its existing 4 times weekly service from its base at Casablanca (CMN), Morocco’s largest city to Montpellier-Méditerranée Airport (MPL) on France’s southern coast. From 1 Nov 2010, one weekly service in each direction will make an intermediate stop at Fez (FEZ) in northern Morocco. Incidentally, Monday’s 162-seater A320 service from Casablanca to Montpellier will make a brief stop in Fez; and the Friday flight in the opposite direction will make the same manoeuvre. This means that there will be a Friday morning flight from Montpellier to Fez, and a Monday morning flight following the reverse route.

    This leaves the schedule as follows:

Mon: 3O2331 FEZ 7.15-10.20 MPL

Fri: 3O2332 MPL 11.00-12.15 FEZ

   The timing of the flights is such that it enables France-based travellers to spend a long weekend in Fez, or 10 days depending on the flights and times they choose. Incidentally, it is likely to appeal to French tourists living on the Mediterranean coast and parts of the Moroccan diasporas which are heavily present in this region of France.

 

   Il y a quelques semaines, Air Arabia Maroc (3O) a annoncé un changement à son vol Casablanca (CMN)-Montpellier-Méditerranée (MPL), la liaison qui relie la plus grande ville du Maroc avec la ville sud-française à raison de quatre vols par semaine. Dès le 1^er novembre 2010, un vol par semaine dans chaque direction fera escale à Fès (FEZ), ville nord-marocaine. Conséquemment, le vol du lundi assuré avec un appareil Airbus A320 de 162 places s’arrêtera brièvement à Fès avant de continuer sur Montpellier; l’action inverse se déroulera les vendredis. Il y aura donc un vol Montpellier-Fès le vendredi matin et un vol retour le lundi matin.

Lun: 3O2331 FEZ 7.15-10.20 MPL

Ven: 3O2332 MPL 11.00-12.15 FEZ

   Le timing des vols est telle qu’un voyageur basé en France peut prendre un weekend allongé, ou 10 jours à Fès, selon les horaires qu’il choisit. Par conséquent, ce vol devrait faire attrait aux touristes du Languedoc et de la population ethnique marocaine qui y habite.
