Low-cost UK airline easyJet (U2) has inaugurated three new French routes today: two from its base at Paris-Charles de Gaulle T2E (CDG) to Copenhagen (CPH) and Brest (BES). The third links Toulouse (TLS) in southern France and the Portuguese capital Lisbon (LIS).
Brest is a new destination for easyJet, who market it as Brest (Brittany) to relfect the region it serves. Flights will be operated daily from Paris CDG with 156-seat A319 aircraft. Later this year, easyJet will launch its second route to Brest from Lyon (LYS), France's second city. easyJet's only competitor on the route is Air France (AF), who operate 3 daily services to Paris CDG and up to 6 daily services to Paris' second airport, Orly (ORY).
The other new route launched from Paris CDG is Copenhagen, will which also be flown daily with easyJet's 156-seater Airbus A319's. Competition on this exact route comes from both Air France and Scandinavian Airline System or SAS (SK) who both fly it a considerable number of times daily, and Nowegian (DY), who connect Orly to Copenhagen 6 times a week.
Lastly, easyJet has launched a 4 times weekly connection between Toulouse and Lisbon, which will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, also with 156-seat Airbus A3219 aircraft. Competition comes from TAP (TP), Portugal's national airline, who fly the route twice daily. With a stretch of imagination, you could also say that Ryanair (FR) compete on this route, although instead of Toulouse they operate to Carcassonne (CCF) to the east of Toulouse from their base at Porto (OPO). This flight attracts passengers from a large area in southern France, including Toulouse which is about an hour's drive from Toulouse along the A61 motorway.

C'est une route compétitive, où Air France et Scandinavian Airline System (SK) se chevauchent avec leurs multiples services quotidiennes, et Norwegian (DY) opère des vols six fois par semaine entre Orly et Copenhague.
Troisièmement, easyJet relie dès aujourd'hui Lisbonne (LIS), la capitale portugaise avec Toulouse (TLS), une ville importante dans le sud de la France, quatre fois par semaine (lun,mer,ven,dim). Le seul véritable concurrent est TAP (TP), qui effectue deux liaisons quotidiennes entre ces deux villes. Autre compagnie low-cost, Ryanair (FR), opère une liaison entre Carcassonne (à 1h de route de Toulouse) et Porto (OPO), dans le nord du Portugal.
